DSM Installation & Calibration
- DSM can be installed obliquely facing the driver or directly facing the driver.
- The driver’s face can not be blocked by the steering wheel.
- The driver’s head must be in the middle of the image.
- The driver’s face (profile) can not cover the DSM lens light compensation fully.
- The ideal distance between the DSM camera lens to the driver’s eyes should be 70cm - 110cm.
DSM “Obliquely-facing to the driver” Installation
1. Install the camera. DSM camera can be installed obliquely facing the driver if there is not any right place on the dashboard (e.g. it is not flat enough). But the deviation of the angle can’t be bigger than 30 degrees.
2. Change the channel mode to Calibration and Side mode on the page "Prefereneces→IPC Setup".
3. Sit on the driver's seat and adjust the DSM camera to keep your face on the center of the image. And then wait for the calibration finished. If the calibration is completed, the below information will display:
1) Displayed “calibrate_true!”. 2) ”num:301,300,0,300” stop counter. 3)”Multi:xxxxxxxx”stop counter.
4. Tighten the DSM hex screws and Change DSM channel mode to Normal mode.
The channel mode must resume to normal mode after calibration. Otherwise, there will be no alerts.
