BSD Installation & Calibration

  1. BSD camera should mount on the side of the vehicle that opposite and lens face forward to the vehicle, 195 ± 15cm high from the ground. (See the red area in the image below)
  2. Check the live view image from the camera calibration and run an alarm test BEFORE securing as it requires a clear and specific image.

  1. Place a cone in front of the BSD camera that 2 meters far from the headstock.
  2. Open the IPC settings of the BSD camera channel, e.g. Channel 6.Keep the device as “Calibration” then click ok. But do not secure the camera before finishing the calibration.
  3. Click the Left & Right arrow button to move the red vertical line.Make the vertical line coincide with the body edge.
  4. Click the Up & Down arrow button to move the yello horizontal line. Make the horizontal line coincide with the cone.

The figure below shows a virtual detection area for the BSD system. the area highlight in yellow are the blind sports of the BSD camera itself (4~5 m). The Red area shows the “alarm area” where close to the vehicle, the Green area is the pre-alarm area that system indicate the potential collision.
